HH Sheikh Mohammed

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai has recently announced Utilities projects worth $1.6bn for the Northern Emirates.

These include a federal scheme to link water developments with Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Of the total budget of $1.6 bn, $653.4 has been allocated for the construction of dams and a federal water network which would link the Northern Emirates’ supply with Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The remaining $326.7m has been allocated to build a solar power station in Umm Al Quwain and a water desalination station.

This desalination is touted to hold a capacity of 150 million gallons per day (MIGD).

These projects are expected to be completed by the end of the next two years and shall include building storage tanks, pipelines, and networks under the oversight of Federal Electricity and Water Authority.

Both the projects are expected to create a large number of jobs in both the construction and Facility Management sector.

Keeping a track of previous such projects and the construction jobs they have created, it’s safe to say that the next two years we could see Overseas Recruitment Agencies gaining a lot of market prominence.

One such prominent Overseas Recruitment Agency is ABC International.

This overseas recruitment agency has been in the business of sourcing and providing recruitment solutions for the last 37 years and has been instrumental in providing quality employees to companies like Samsung, Huawei etc.
